Our Pastor's Journey
Daniel Rocha was born and raised in Iglesia de Dios de la Profecía, a Spanish church located in Vancouver. Being an established Vancouver church since 1993, it holds a significant place in the local community. During his childhood years, Daniel had the privilege of experiencing the rich spiritual heritage and teachings of this Vancouver church. However, as he transitioned into young adulthood, Daniel found himself becoming spiritually distant, temporarily losing his connection to the Lord.
During this period of spiritual distance, Daniel sensed a calling from God but couldn't fully grasp its significance. It wasn't until he reconciled with the Lord and embarked on a journey of faith that the calling became clearer. Starting around 2018-2019, Daniel began taking his faith more seriously, particularly within the Spanish ministry of the Vancouver church.
As he delved deeper into his own faith and the person of Jesus Christ, Daniel discovered the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in his life. He experienced dreams and received prophecies about his calling, one of which indicated that he would have a ministry in an English-language setting, like the Sunday services in Vancouver.
In winter 2020, Daniel's calling was confirmed by Bishop Franklyn Allen, the previous pastor of King's Gate Community Church. Daniel and his wife, embracing the calling, became pastors of KGCC on April 1, 2021. They started their ministry during the challenging times of the pandemic, relying on God's sovereignty and will.
Daniel and his wife have faithfully pastored KGCC, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they navigate the unique path God has laid out for them. They are passionate about discovering the kingdom of heaven and the specific ministry that God has in store for the Vancouver church.
